Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Spendly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
Description of Service
Spendly is a personal finance tracking tool that helps you manage accounts, track transactions, set budgets and monitor your spending. You can use it on your device without an account, or create an account to sync your data across devices and share ledgers with other people. Spendly is a tracking tool, not a bank, payment or accounting service.
Your Account
Accounts are optional and use Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID and your devices secure, and for activity under your account. Contact us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for: • The accuracy of the financial data you enter • What you add to shared ledgers and whom you invite • Exporting your data if you want your own copy • Any decisions you make based on information displayed in the app
Acceptable Use
Do not use Spendly to break the law, to store or share content you have no right to, to harass other people, or to interfere with the service or try to access its server or other users' data without permission. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Shared Ledgers
The owner of a shared ledger decides who can join, what role each member has, and which members' entries are approved. Every member can see everything in the ledger. If the owner deletes the ledger or their account, the ledger's data is deleted for every member.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Spendly Pro is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. When you are signed in, Pro is linked to your Spendly account and works on all your devices. Some features, such as sharing ledgers and adding entries to shared ledgers, require Pro.
Not Financial Advice
Spendly is a tracking and organizational tool only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The market prices, exchange rates, and portfolio values shown are for informational purposes only and may not reflect real-time or accurate pricing. Always consult a qualified financial advisor for financial decisions.
Market Data
Stock prices, cryptocurrency values, metal prices, and currency exchange rates are fetched from third-party public APIs. This data may be delayed, inaccurate, or temporarily unavailable. Spendly is not responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, or availability of market data.
Data and Backups
Without an account, your data exists only on your device and is lost if the device is lost or the app is deleted. With an account, your data is synced to our server, but the service may occasionally be unavailable and we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost. Signing out deletes the data from that device, and changes not yet uploaded are lost. Pro users can export their transactions as a CSV file at any time.
Accuracy Disclaimer
Spendly is a technology product and, like all software, may contain bugs, calculation errors, or inaccuracies. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that: • Balance calculations are always 100% correct • Currency conversions reflect exact real-time rates • Market prices (stocks, crypto, metals) are perfectly accurate • Budget tracking and category totals are free from rounding errors • Recurring transaction scheduling is always precise You should always verify important financial figures independently. Spendly is a tracking aid, not a certified accounting system. If you notice an error, please report it using the Report a Problem feature in Settings.
Limitation of Liability
Spendly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to financial losses, data loss, inaccurate calculations, incorrect currency conversions, or missed payment reminders. By using Spendly, you acknowledge that software can contain errors and you accept full responsibility for any financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding in Spendly are the intellectual property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app. The data you enter remains yours.
Termination
You may stop using Spendly at any time. To delete your account and the data stored on our server, go to Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
Apple
These terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Spendly or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. Your use of Spendly must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in app updates. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
