FAQ

Questions people ask

Do I need an account?

No. Without an account, everything stays on your iPhone and we never see it. Sign in only if you want sync or sharing.

Where is my data stored when I sign in?

On our server in Frankfurt, Germany, encrypted in transit. Receipt photos live in private storage reachable only through short-lived links for members of that ledger.

Can a family member change my numbers?

Editors can add and edit entries, but in a shared ledger their changes are pending until you approve them. Viewers can only look.

What is Spendly Pro?

A subscription through the App Store that unlocks sharing and removes the free-tier limits. It follows your account, so it works on every device you sign in to.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Everything in the ledgers you own is deleted from our server, and Spendly is disconnected from your Apple ID.
